Special: Wereldkampioenschap Voetbal 2010

In 2010 is het weer zover: het Wereldkampioenschap voetbal wordt weer gehouden in de periode van 11 juni tot aan de grote finale op 11 juli. Deze keer is Zuid Afrika de plaats waar het allemaal zal gebeuren. Natuurlijk zijn er vele Nederlanders die de verrichtingen van ons Oranje team willen volgen. Daarom biedt Flamingo Worldwide u een geweldige mogelijkheid om dit zeer belangrijke toernooi hier in Thailand te volgen.

In ons bungalowpark in Mae Rim, vlakbij Chiang Mai, kunt u het WK perfect volgen op een groot videoscherm. Tevens zal het gehele park in voetbalsfeer worden versierd en bieden wij u een compleet programma aan met internationale muziek en uiteraard de beste voetbalhits.

Ook de Flamingo Stand Up Comedy Show die op het park plaats vindt, zal in het teken van het voetbal staan. Daarnaast bieden wij u ook nog de mogelijkheid aan om deel te nemen aan onze minicompetitie Flamingo Gliding (sjoelen), touwtrekken en paaltjesvoetbal. Natuurlijk kunt u bij ons overheerlijke Hollandse snacks krijgen zoals kroketten en frikadellen, maar er zijn uiteraard ook Thaise gerechten verkrijgbaar.

Als de wedstrijden erg laat worden gespeeld, of u wilt gewoon niet meer rijden na de wedstrijd, dan bieden wij u de mogelijkheid om na de wedstrijden te overnachten in ??n van onze schitterende bungalows, zodat u lekker in de voetbalsfeer kunt blijven. Naast dit voetbalarrangement kunt u overdag natuurlijk een heerlijke duik nemen in ons zwembad of deelnemen aan de andere activiteiten die door Flamingo Worldwide worden georganiseerd. Voorbeelden hiervan zijn fiets- of motortoertochten door de schitterende omgeving van Chiang Mai.

Special: World Cup Soccer 201

In 2010 the next World Cup Soccer will be held again. This time, the place where all the action takes place will be South Africa. The first match will start on 11 June 2010 and the grand final will be held on 11 July. There are many soccer fans all over the world who would like to watch this great tournament. Therefore Flamingo Worldwide offers you the fantastic opportunity to watch the matches of your favorite team.

World Cup 2010

You will be able to follow the World Cup tournament at our bungalow park on a big video screen. We will also decorate the whole park in soccer style. As there are many Dutch soccer fans at the park, you can expect that there will be a lot of orange. However, we welcome fans of other teams also, as we want to make it a real big party for everyone. When there are no matches to watch, we offer a complete program with international music and of course the biggest soccer hits.

The Flamingo Stand Up Comedy Show, which is held at the park, will also be all about soccer, of course. Beside that we offer the possibility to participate in our mini competition “Flamingo Gliding” (Dutch Shuffle board), tug-of-war and “stake soccer”. We also have an assortment of typical Dutch snacks, like croquettes or “frikadels” (minced meat hot dogs), but we also offer other western and Thai food.

If the matches are held late, or you just don’t want to travel after a match, we can offer you the opportunity to spend the night in one of our excellent bungalows, in order to stay in the soccer mood. Beside the soccer arrangement, you can spend the day with swimming in our swimming pool or by participating in other activities which will be organized by Flamingo Worldwide. Examples of this are bicycle or motorbike tours through the magnificent surroundings of Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai Has Best Quality Of Life

In a recent government survey concerning the level of security for people living in Thailand’s 76 provinces, it was found that Chiang Mai ranked the best, while Bangkok ranked the worst. Surprisingly, Phuket was listed as the second-worst province in the nation for safety.

The human security score averaged 69.65 per cent out of 100 for Thailand as a whole. Bangkok could only manage to score 11.62 per cent, but Chiang Mai racked up an impressive 87.87 per cent, thus earning it the title of Thailand’s most livable city.

Other towns that scored less than 50 per cent includes Chonburi, Nonthaburi, Samut Sakhon, Samut Prakan, and of course, Phuket. The scores were calculated from a broad spectrum of criteria such as household income, crime rate, employment rate, population density, Internet access, and ratios of students to teachers and hospital beds to doctors, reports 1ST.

The official in charge of the survey noted that “the report identifies the strengths and weaknesses of each province. The information will be useful in improving the human-security situation.” Other towns that scored high were Phrae, Lamphun, Nan, Phayao and Lampang, all cities in northern Thailand.
